Final Edit Of Our Music Video

This is the final edit of our music video that we have been working on. We have made a lot of changes to our video. Examples would be that we have made most of our video into black and white so it looks more of a dream, it is a lot loner than it was before and also the shots we have used are a lot better quality.

  1. The content of the video links in well with the genre characteristics of a RNB music video. Although there isn't many links between Lyrics and Visuals the link between Music and Visuals are clear and it quickly sets a scene for the viewer.
The editing, using the rewind and speeding some footage up makes the audience feel as if it's more of a day dream than real life. A range of shots used which makes the video more interesting.
I like the fact the same footage was repeated at the end of the clip to draw a close to the video.
    Well done :) - Jade

  2. Your music video demonstrates the R&B genre characteristic well, the typical love story. I feel that this works well with your song. There isn’t a huge relationship between lyrics and visuals, but it is clear to the viewer that it’s a narrative about a couple. There is a strange relationship between music and visuals, I liked how your shots cut on the beat it was effective, I also liked how you had slowed down footage, the pace worked really well. I particularly liked how you reversed the footage at the end, it made a nice closing point. Although i feel there just needs more varied shots. Overall, I liked it, nice work! :D Charlotte

  4. The matched the RNB/POP genre well as there are shots of dance moves and focusing on the singer. The cuts also match the beat well and go at the same pace so it flows smoothly.
There are a few visuals and lyrics matching, for example, when it says 'you and me together' there were often shots of the main singer and a girl being together. The split screen is good but the part after with all the rewinding clips and with another guy in it is confusing, i don't understand what that bits about. The last 20 seconds seems to be be edited too fast for the beat of the music, could've been slowed down a bit to match the beat.
All in all i think it is a good music video, the footage works well with the music, well done!! :) - Jack
